Fjord horses

Fjord horses for travel -  that is what you need.

Don't spend you energy walking, that is why we have Fjord horses.

This is the true way to venture out into the wilderness.  We have been using this exquisite breed of horse for over thirty years at Willow Ranch Outfitters and have never had an incident with these kind and loving animals.  Fjords live to work and that is how we use them.

We start the year off going on personal family trips, running around different ranches and trail riding, getting them ready for the season.  The summer leads us into Yellowstone National Park, the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, and the Lee Metcalf Wilderness.  There we explore breathtaking country that rarely gets seen by the average person.

In the heart of the summer season we offer pack trips for families and clients into south western Montana up to our many summer camps.  Our summer camps offer breathtaking views of  8 different mountain ranges, including the Grand Tetons.

Archery elk hunting in Montana begins on September 4th.  This leads in to a powerful bugle hunt like few have ever experienced.  You will have multiple bull encounters every day and frequent  chances for you to make that memorable archery shot.

For four weeks our Norwegian Fjords live and breath the rut with us, never tiring or giving up.  They then have a solid two weeks off and we roll into the Montana general rifle season.  This has been very, very productive for us with every one going home happy and pleased.

Our horses are ready, are you?

Come join us for a great Montana adventure in 2010.
