Missouri River sight fishing
.jpg) John Graham caught this awesome rainbow on the Missouri River. This was one of first fish this year that we have been able to sight fish to.
This rainbow was sipping blue wing olives about three feet off the bank with about six other healthy fish. We watched the pod of fishing rising on the Missouri river for about ten minutes before we decided which one we wanted.
He was rising on a pretty regular basis and eating pretty much what ever went down his feeding land. We set John up with and old Winston IM6 with a little spring creek set up.
It only took two casts over his head for him to hook this fish. It was a fight that you would expect and five minutes later we were taking pictures of John with his first big rainbow of the year that we had sight fished for. |
