2009 Elk Hunting Season a HUGE Success!
We have had very successful hunts this year at Willow Ranch Outfitting.
Our archery hunting exceeded expectations! With multiple chances at elk every day and having unbelievable bugling activity. We managed to get into on average 3 to 8 bulls a day with two of them in the 360 to 380 class.
The rifle season proved to be awesome, with a 100% success rate on the first week, We harvested elk on the 2nd, 4th and 5th days of the hunt making it very exciting. Second week we were still into elk everyday with the first morning giving us a chance at two very large bulls within ten minutes of camp, and multiple chances at elk the rest of the week.
Third week while it was short lived we cut tracks and saw elk most of the days which was quite nice being this late in the season.
Even while I was pulling camp out these last two days we were still seeing fresh tracks and saw two 5 by 5 bulls as we were on the trail and heading out.
